Robert Belt, CPA has eighteen years experience auditing governments and non-profits, and has directly audited or reviewed over five hundred government and non-profit audit engagements. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in accounting, in 1988. In addition, he has earned the AICPA's Governmental Accounting and Auditing Certificate of Educational Achievement and also chairs our firm's participation in the AICPA's Governmental Audit Quality Center. Mr. Belt also serves as a member of the GFOA's Special Review Committee as a technical reviewer for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting program and has reviewed reports from governments across the country. In addition, he serves as the managing partner of our Houston Office practice dedicated exclusively to governments and non-profits that serve our community.
